A group of us has previously stayed at Hotel Le Dauphin Montreal in 2007 and 2008. It is about 5 minutes drive away from the track, very comfortable (love the bathroom, in-room computer, and free WiFi), and great value. I negotiated a group rate and made reservation for the team. The booking is made for Friday June 5, 2009. If you are traveling with others and/or prefer not to stay with the team, please let me know. Send me a note and I can tell you the details of how to take advantage of the group rate.
Since the race kicks off Saturday 1pm, it probably makes sense to arrive on Friday if you don't want to be too rushed, especially if there are supplies you want to purchase in Montreal. However, arriving the morning of the race is a possible option as well.
